What is fibre cement exterior cladding?
We install James Hardie Cladding which is manufactured from fibre cement. Fibre cement is a composite material made of cement and reinforced with cellulose fibres.
James Hardie cladding, manufactured from fibre cement, offers water resistance and a barrier from permanent water damage, protecting the exterior of a building. Fibre cement is very long lasting, UV resistant and resistant to weather and temperature change, moisture and water absorption. It does not chip, crack, warp, rot or discolour and is resistant to pests such as termites and woodpeckers.
Is the cladding fire resistant?
James Hardie cladding we install is fully compliant with building and fire regulations. It is tested under the A2 s1-d0 fire rating and complies with European Standards for non combustible materials. Fire cement cladding is a non combustible building material so does not burn. It produces little or no smoke and no flaming droplets and particles during the first ten minutes of fire exposure.
